I’ve been under the weather this week (hello cold season) and wanted to create something that would give me some good health benefits and hopefully boost my immune system to *fingers crossed* beat this cold before Thanksgiving. I always love a good juice recipe and have really enjoyed experimenting with different fruits/veggies/spices to make a juice that tastes good and refreshing.
Because I am sick, I specifically wanted to include oranges because of their high vitamin C content but I added a few other ingredients to really make the juice something special. See below for the recipe!
Ingredients:
- 3 large oranges
- 1-inch piece of ginger
- 2 medium carrots
- 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions:
- Wash and peel the oranges, carrots, and lemon. Cut them into manageable pieces for juicing.
- Peel the ginger.
- Juice the oranges, carrots, ginger, and lemon together. This is the juicer I have which I love (note that this link is an Amazon affiliate link).
- Add a teaspoon of turmeric powder to the juice and stir well.
- Incorporate a tablespoon of honey into the mixture, adjusting to your taste.
- Pour the freshly juice into a glass and enjoy!
Let me know what you think!
xoxo, LL
