So many people use their phones or computers to look up new recipes but I think there is something special about having a few go-to cookbooks in your kitchen. Here are my top 3:
- America’s Test Kitchen – this is an amazing cookbook and reference guide for all the basics. I use it all the time to understand how to cook new things or to see how I can make things differently.
- Joy of Cooking – this is a classic and for good reason!
- Half-Baked Harvest “Super Simple” – everything is super tasty and generally pretty easy to make. This is my go-to when I need to make dinner for guests or family.
I also highly recommend creating your own cookbook. Print or cut out recipes that you use often and tape them into a notebook. It’s a great quick reference so you don’t always have to pull it up on your phone and you can make it totally personalized!
